Camping with the Briggeman's

Saturday evening we headed out to Glendale to try out our new tent. Let me just say it is a TINY four person tent that we are going to have to send back for a bigger one!! Anyway, we had a great time. The girls and Nathanial slept just like we were at home, of course I tossed and turned most of the night and woke up pretty sore from sleeping on my thin camp pad. Nathanial says I have to be tough and not break down and buy an air mattress. I'm not so sure about that. You can bet next time I will have an air mattress!! Ava and Isaac had so much fun. We had a 24 hour period with no Dora, Diego, or Alvin and the Chipmonks, and she had a blast. She was sooooo dirty though! And we did find two deer ticks on her, one of them was stuck right in her belly button!! I hate those things. Here's the highlights from our weekend!

Daddy and Ava on their canoe ride that made me a little nervous.

Best buds, Isaac and Ava

Checking out the fish Nathanial and Jordan caught!!

Our Back Yard

You know, somedays I'm so ready for our house to sell. And then there are days like this one, and I just love our backyard. I even think I'd be okay staying in the house we live in now. It drives me crazy at times, not being able to make decisions and not knowing what I want!! We had so much fun just hanging out together as a family the other night. It was great. Here are just a few pics.

Ava and her daddy playing in the "tent" they built.

Mommy, Ava, and Aspen in the Hammock.

Our cute little backyard. :)

Well, I'm extremely tired. I was home all day today with the girls. It's amazing how little I'm able to get done in one day. I'd rather hold my girls and snuggle them then do anything else. It's great!!

Spending the night at Mamaw's house!

Friday night daddy went to West Virginia to go white-water rafting so us three girls decided to go spend the night at mamaw and papaw's house.
It was Aspen's first time to spend the night anywhere except home. That is really funny to me, since Ava had been to Colorado, Florida, and camping several times by now!! Things are definately different this time around. We had fun at mamaw's, especially Ava, she likes having all the attention. She had fun playing outside on Saturday. I was so glad it was nice and sunny.
Saturday night we had dinner at Mi Pueblo with the Schaffer clan. Two adults and 6 kids. It went suprisingly smooth. Ava was very well behaved.... which was a change from the usual while eating out. Sunday we spent the afternoon at nana's (the other set of grandparents) celebrating Nathanial's grandpa's 80th birthday. All-in-all a very good weekend.

I'm finally doing this!!

Okay, well here goes! I've been wanting to start a blog for a long time. I love looking at other people's blogs, and we have friends and family that live rather far away (some on the other side of the world!). So, I decided to quit just talking about it and do it!! I have no idea what I'm doing so just bear with me and I'll figure it out from some veteran bloggers!!
By the way, this pic is of our 2 beautiful daughters, Ava Faith, 3 and Aspen Grace, 4 months.
